Since its debut in the 1960s, the Corum Admiral's Cup has been produced in a variety of metals and colors, with complications added or removed, and in fact, almost every redesign imaginable has been introduced over the years. For 2019, monochromatic versions reduce the collection’s colorful dial pennants to pure shades. This year, however, bright colors are making a comeback on the dials of every new model, the 2020 Corum Admiral 42 all-black model.

Measuring 42 mm, each PVD-treated black stainless steel case features the collection’s famous dodecagonal outline. The dial is made of black brass, and while there are subtle gray tones on each pennant, they are also defined by bright color outlines. A small compass-like seconds subdial is located at 6 o'clock, while a small date window is located at 3 o'clock.
The Admiral 42 Automatic All Black Series watch is powered by the Corum CO 395 automatic movement, which can be viewed through the sapphire crystal on the case back. It vibrates at 28,800vph, has a 42-hour power supply and, true to the range’s nautical heritage, is water-resistant to 50 metres.
